I. Job Description

The Internship of Accounting will support the Accounting and Finance team in performing daily accounting operations and financial record-keeping activities. This role provides hands-on experience in banking accounting processes, regulatory compliance, and internal controls, while ensuring accuracy and timely processing of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger, and suspense accounts.

  • Assist in checking and verifying accounting documents, vouchers, invoices, and supporting evidence.

  • Support month-end closing activities and preparation of accounting schedules.

  • Assist in filing and maintaining accounting documents in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements.

  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing required documents.

  • Assist in compliance with bank policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Line Manager.


II. Job Requirements

Education & Background:

  • Undergraduate student in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or a related field (Year II or above), or fresh graduate.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and bookkeeping.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and email.

  • Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to learn banking accounting processes and regulations.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
