Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior, System Operation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the first line of support for our End-User Support Unit, managing service requests and incidents related to our Core Banking System (CBS) and other business applications. You will ensure that all inquiries are handled efficiently, incidents are recorded accurately, and that IT policies and procedures are adhered to. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in IT support within the banking sector, who is eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment while also taking on leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first line of support for service requests and incidents from the End-User Support Unit.
  • Register all incidents and requests in the tracking system to ensure timely follow-up and resolution as per agreed-upon service levels.
  • Conduct daily checks on system closures and backups, ensuring proper record-keeping and filing.
  • Review the list of open system issues daily and escalate to the supervisor/line manager as needed.
  • Receive inquiries from various departments and branches, providing prompt and accurate responses.
  • Comply with IT policies and procedures, ensuring that all system enhancements meet these standards.
  • Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking or business application support, maintenance, and development.
  • Proficient in SQL (with PL/SQL as a preference), Postgres, DB2, and MySQL.
  • Experience with Core Banking Systems (CBS) is plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with business users, vendors, management, and team members.
  • Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
